Registration – entry – events – course – to-dos

Registration

Entry is subject to registration.

If you have registered on the entry site earlier, then you only need to login. If you don't remember your password, you can also request a new one. Please do not create another account!

In order to add this year's performance to your previous results for you to benefit from our benefits, it is important to use a single user account, to which your former Finisher data is also linked.

If you have never visited the site before, please start by registering. Only persons over the age of 16 can register on our site. After you enter your name, email address and password, you will receive a notification email to the email address you provided. The user account can be activated via the link in the notification email. You can login after activation.

Profile

After logging in you must enter your details. Data marked with a red asterisk is mandatory.

Please be careful to enter your name correctly. This step is important because later this entered name will appear on the result lists, official documents – e.g. in the press, on your diploma. 

Entering a "nickname" is optional, but in the eXtremeMan Nagyatád race this name will appear on your race number tag. The text on your race number tag can only be maximum 16 characters long, which can be e.g. a first name or a nickname, so design it that way. If you do not specify anything, we will use your first name.

When entering the T-shirt size, consider the following:
On the individual race of eXtremeMan Nagyatád we will give out the technical T-shirts of BIORACER, while the relay teams will receive technical T-shirts made by Intersport.
In our relay races we'll ask for the T-shirt size separately for each team member on the entry form.
(If someone participates in individual race in Nagyatád and also in another competition from the eXtremeTour series (where we give Intersport T-shirts), and the selected T-shirt sizes differ on these races, they have the opportunity to change their selection. When giving out the assigned T-shirts, we will always take into account the current selected T-shirt size that was last selected by the racer before the deadline of the last modification of the race.)

In the case of the eXtremeMan Nagyatád 2023 individual race you will only have the Finisher T-shirt if you choose standard or extra start pack. 

Size charts for BIORACER Technical T-Shirts (male and female separately):

Entering the BSI identification is needed to receive certain discounts provided by the BSI, when you have completed the race successfully.

It is not obligatory to enter the competition license when registering.

HOWEVER:
In the Hungarian National Triathlon Union races, including the eXtremeMan series, it is a prerequisite for participating - but only for individual racers.
You can find out about the process of getting an annual racing license on the  website of the Hungarian Triathlon Union.
With the license, the competitor also receives a full-year accident insurance, which not only helps in the races, but also in the event of accidents during training.
With a valid license a discount priced yellow chip becomes available for purchase as well. 
The Hungarian National Triathlon Union will work based on the most recent pre-race license portfolio at the registration office, and will send it to the timing team to make the scoreboard. 

We would like to call attention to the rules of using the yellow ChampionChip. Only those individual racers are allowed to use their own yellow chip on given race, who have entered their identification code in their profile before the last modification deadline (20st of July, 20223), and present it before the race at the registration office during the reception of the race number tag  Other racers compete with a white chip, which has a renting fee of 1000 Ft and a further caution fee of 2000 Ft. Relay teams compete by using a white chip at all time, their entry fee covers the renting costs, but we still require a caution fee.

It is important to set up the Finisher-connection, if you have already crossed the finish line before in Nagyatád as individual racer. If you bind your profile with your previous race results, then your following accomplishments will be credited automatically, therefore you will find later your correct result data in and your discounts will be determined correctly by that as well. If you can't set it up by yourself, be sure to contact us before you enter.

Billing: An invoice will be issued for each entry. When you sign up, your billing information will be used to retrieve your billing customer information. If the billing information changes later, then during the next entry our system will use this new data. We do not modify the invoices issued afterwards! Please check your billing information before entering!

Use the Save button to keep your modifications. 

You can also change your profile information in the future.

Entry

Please read the Competition Announcement before the entry!

Only racers born in or before 2002 may participate in the eXtremeMan Nagyatád race.

You may enter on more races on our entry page. You can select from the list the tournament you want to enter. 

There are two types of entry forms:
Individual: 
In this case, as a Profile Owner, you only enter yourself into the tournament. We typically use this kind of form in case of those individual races, where the age limit is above 16 years.

Team:
In this case as the owner of the profile you are the team leader. You can enter
1. yourself,
2. a team,
3. Yourself and others as well
4. just others.
This includes relay teams, the “Just run and smile!” – female running race, the “eXtremeManó” running race for children and the eXtremeMan 25.75 race as well, since racers under 16 years can participate in it (in this case the team leader is allowed to give personal datas of the racers under 16 years only with the consent of the parents or lawful persons). It is important that in this case, if you want to participate in the race, you should list yourself among the racers – even if You only enter Yourself.

If the data that is loaded automatically from the Profile is not correct, then log in to your Profile and modify it before you submit your entry. You can access your Profile by clicking the arrow next to your name in the top right corner.

Individual racers:

We will display the following data on the entry list from your profile: name, sex, birth year, country, city, the number of finishing the race in Nagyatád, the best result time in Nagyatád, and whether or not this is your first time to race in Nagyatád.

From 2023 the entry has two steps. 

First you buy a registration and show us that "I will be there".

Second step when you can choose your start pack. 

Only with both steps you are able to participate in our race.

Pasta party: 4th of August  2023. (Friday). from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm - where you can refill your carbohydrate reserves for the race
You can buy your entry  for the Pasta Party choosing the extra start pack or choose it as an extra option. 
The so called “Athlete’s Garden” will be open on the day of the race from the arrival of the first finishers. After that it closes around midnight. You can buy your entry  for the “Athlete’s Garden” choosing the extra start pack or choose it as an extra option. . For your accompanists you can also order tickets for the Pasta Party and for the Athlete’s Garden. The ticket price for each event are 4000 Ft per person. 

Due to technical reasons ticket sales at the location will be limited.

The location of swimming is 40 km away from Nagyatád.
Transportation of bicycles and people to the swimming location is available. The cost of this is 3000-3000 Ft per person and per bicycle. It is suggested to order this service during the entry because this option will be available for a limited period at the Registry Office. 

Select “yes” on the entry site at “First ironman distance race” if you have never completed the classical (complete) ironman distance race anywhere else.

Entering a planned race time is mandatory, but it won’t be public. Please enter a reasonable and realistic planned race time – this will play a role in sorting out the race number tags. If you don’t alter the default 14:00:00 setting, then you will be added to the entry list with this planned race time.

Relay Teams:

Please select the correct entry form according to the number of team members.

The following data will be public on the entry list from the entry form: team name, team members’ name, city.

The Pasta Party and the "Athlete's Garden" services can be used with the tickets that you received in your start pack. 

For your accompanists you can also order tickets for the Pasta Party and for the Athlete’s Garden. The ticket price for each event are 4000 Ft per person.

The entry fee can only be paid by debit card. Following the on-screen instructions will lead to a successful entry.

In case of unsuccessful entry, you simply have to repeat the process. There is no further action to do with the previous unsuccessful entry. (The payment and therefore the entry will be unsuccessful, if you click on the back button during the process, or if you close the browser prematurely, or if you use the wrong type of debit card, or there isn’t enough coverage on the card.)

Registered entries will be available at the “My Entries” section. Successful entries will be highlighted with green color. Only these entries will be added to the racers entry list.

Modification

You can change your data in your Profile till the 20st of July, 2023.
You can do this anytime during the year. However, only the modifications administered before the mentioned deadline (20st of July, 2023) will be accepted and used on the race.
Billing data is also modifiable. However, this alteration will only apply for your next entry. We administer bills on every account using the data that was confirmed on the entry form. Therefore there is no option for posterior alteration.
If such data has changed that isn’t listed in your Profile, please contact us about this issue on extrememan@extrememan.hu.

Why is this all important?

Your name will be displayed on the diploma and on the result’s list of individual racers. We use the name and the city that were entered during the entry.

We wrote about the license and yellow chip above. Please note that the deadline applies on these details as well!

The name of the team will be listed on the entry list in case of Relay Teams
Please note, that replacing a team member does not result in cancelling and reentering – in this case a simple data alteration is sufficient. If there is a change in the size of the T-shirt, please inform us about in email as well. 
In case you wish to expand your team with further racers, then the new team member pays the actual entry fee. Further explanation is done via email.

Cancelling

To cancel, first select the race you wish to cancel at the “My Entry” tab. You have to choices: cancel with transferring back the entry fee or cancel with crediting Your account. In this case the handling fee is more favourable and You can use this balance to pay for Your next entry.

In case of Package Entry, only the cancelling of the full package is optional. 

The deadlines and handling fees of canceling the race of Nagyatád eXtremeMan 2022 are as follows: 

For individuals and relays:

25.06.2023. HUF 12.000 (transfering back), HUF 6.000 (crediting)

In case of package:

15.05.2023. HUF 20.000 Ft (transfering back), HUF 10.000 (crediting)

After deadline we cannot accept further cancellation requests.

Individual entry is not transferable between racers. If it comes to the organizers’ attention that such “switch” was performed, the result of the racer will be deleted from the result list. 

To-dos, and events before the race

Health condition

Performing the race will put a tremendous burden on the health condition of the racer – both individual and relay team. Please attend at a physical examination during the preparation period even if it is not mandatory before getting a racing license. Everyone participates in our race at their own risk, but please only do so if you are in the right health condition and if you have the proper preparation. Don’t endanger yourself and others.

Registration and getting race number tags

A

The Registration Office can be found in the Race Center built in the eXtremeMan square

Opening hours:

3rd of August (Thursday):  from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm
4th of August (Friday):  from 8:00 am till 8:00 pm

Individual racers must bring an identification document with a photo and the yellow chip (if you have one and if its code was registered in your Profile)!
The race package can only be received by the individual racer!  

At the Registration Office entered racers will receive their race package after the registration process. 

The content of the race package of individual racers if you chose the minimal start pack:

• race number tag with name and race number sticker
• if necessary, a white chip 
• race number stickers for bicycle (for the bike and the helmet) 
• bags for dress change 
• wristband
• pasta party and athletes garden tickets in a closed envelope if you have chosen them

The standard and extra start packs will contain all the other objects that were mentioned in the entry. 

The content of the race package of relay teams

• race number tag with the team’s name, race number stickers
• a white chip
• the unique T-shirts of the race (if you have bought it)
• race number stickers for bicycle (for the bike and the helmet)
• swimming cap with emblem  (3 caps for each teams)
• bags for dress change (if needed)
• wristband (one for each team member)
• pasta party and athletes garden tickets in a closed envelope

On the back of the race number tag the phone number of the health insurer is printed. This number can be called in case of any health problems. We also printed a phone number that can be called in case of an emergency (please notify the organizers during the race If you observe any kind of emergency). There’s an opportunity to provide an emergency contact number, so in case of an emergency we can notify this person. 

Individual racers may use their own yellow chip or a white chip during the race. The renting fee of the white chip is 1000 Ft and additionally we ask for another 2000 Ft for caution fee, which will be given back to the racer when they present the chip.

Relay teams use white chips on the race. We ask for 2000 caution fee, which will be given back to the racers when they present the chip.

Please wear your wristbands the whole time during the week of the race. With this the racers can enter the city’s swimming-bath between 3rd – 5th of August during its opening hours and can use its services.

Sport events for the whole family:

We will present the race center to the families on Friday morning. Come as many as you can!

9:00 am: „Run and smile!” – running race for women only – distance: 2.5 km

10:00 am: “eXtremeManó” running race for children between the age of 2 and 11 (races start separately for each age groups)

10:45 am: Baby carriage race for the smallest

Pasta party:

Date: 5th of August 2023. (Friday) from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm

Location: eXtremeMan square, at the venue of the Athlete’s Garden

Participation is cost free for team members and with Pasta Party Tickets for everybody. For accompanists tickets can be ordered beforehand or can be bought at the Registration Office (in limited quantity). 

Running equipment submitting:

Date: 4th of August 2023. (Friday) from 9:00 am  till 8:00 pm

Location: at the Race Center next to the 2nd transition area

Please put your running equipment in the bag labeled as RUN!

You can submit an after race clothing as well, which you can wear after you finish. This clothing needs to be put in the AFTER RACE labelled bag.
We give an opportunity to racers without any companions or accompanists to deliver this AFTER RACE bag at the start by the van next to the dressing tents in the morning before the race, but only at that time period and at that location.  This can be received later at the same location where you submitted your RUN bag earlier, at the 2nd transition area. Please note that all wet swimming equipment that was taken off after the swim are needed to be placed in the bag BIKE labelled bag (which contained your bike dress earlier that you switched into). This package will be given back to you as well at the mentioned location. 

Opening ceremony

4th of August 2023. (Friday) 5:30 pm

The day of the race - 5th of August 2023.

Arrival and parking:

The venue of the swimming is located 40 km away from Nagyatád. The route takes about 45 minutes by car at least.
The carpark can be exited before 7:40 am, then between 9:20 am and 9:40 am, and then after 10:30 am.

ATTENTION! Car parking is strictly forbidden along the bike course in Gyékényes, this is also indicated with parking prohibited traffic signs. Police officers will help to enforce this rule for the sake of the racers. Illegally parked cars will be clamped, which can be removed by the police for a fine after 10:30 am. 

Transportation of bicycles and people to the swimming location is available. For this option there are tickets available. Buying them right away at the entry is highly recommended, since the number of transportation tickets will be limited at the Registration Office. The cost of this is 3000-3000 Ft per person and per bicycle. Gathering point and date for transportation is at 4:45 am on the race’s day at the car park next to the Attila József Dormitory (Nagyatád, Baross Gábor street 10). Departure at 5:00 am. Accompanists may also use the transfer bus with a previously bought ticket. The transfer bus leaves Gyékényes back to Nagyatád at 10:30 am and will arrive at the big parking place next to Extrememan square. 

Bicycle check-in and transition area:

Individual racers:  from 6:00 am till 7:15 am

Relay teams: from 7:15 am till 8:00 am

Bike equipment needs to be hanged in the BIKE labelled bag on the hanger at the transition area exit according to the race number. Only helmets and bike shoes can be placed on or next to the bike in the transition area. Other equipment are required to be placed in the BIKE bag.

Swimming check-in:

Individual racers: from 6:30 am till 7:20 am

Relay teams: from 7:35 am

Warming up in the water

Individual racers: from 6:30 am till 7:25 am

This year relays can make warming up only at the lakeside.

Start and swimming:

Individual racers: from 7:30 (wave starts)

7:31:40 all men

7:34:40 all women

The athletes of the Quadrathlon World Championship have the same start with the men. 

START for relay teams: at 8:50 am

The start time may alter depending on weather conditions. Neoprene is only allowed under water temperature of 24 Celsius degrees. Official temperature one hour before the start. Racers must wear the swimming caps that were provided by the organizers. Racers wearing blue caps (TOP 10 RACERS) and red caps (highlighted racers) will be standing in the first row at the start area. We will assign racers to start zones corresponding to their planned swimming time. 

Start: beach start by running in the water

The swimming course is three laps long. Racers will exit the water at the end of the lap and run around 10 meters to start the next one. 

Relay zone for teams: at the starting area between the laps of the swimming, and at the transition area between swimming and cycling

Time limit:

Individual racers: first cut-off-time: the bicycle has to be started at 2:20!

Relay teams: no time limit regarding swim this year! (however, if the swimming team member is still in the water at 11:00 am, then we will launch the cycling member with a spare chip at this time. Relaunched teams are listed on a separate result list!)

If the race physician finds the health condition of a racer inadequate to continue the race, then the race judge will take away the race number tag, thus the racer must give up the tournament. 

If a racer is unable to continue the tournament, then he or she must notify the nearest race judge as soon as possible.

Please put your wet swimming equipment after completing the swimming course in the BIKE labelled bag. Then after leaving the dressing tent place the bag in the collectors. In case the use of neoprene we will hand out extra bags labelled with race numbers for the neoprene swimming suit. Please place this bag also in the collector. Please follow these rules to receive your equipment fully and completely after the race!

Cycling:

Mining lake in Gyékényes – Csurgó – Iharosberény – Böhönye – Nagybajom - Kutas - Beleg - Ötvöskónyi - Segesd - Nagyatád City’s Swimming-bath

In the big circle (92 km) -The course is on a medium quality road with partial road closures. 

In the small circle (88 km). The course is on a very good quality road and totally closed from the traffic. 

Elevation difference is 340 + 400 m.

Partial road closure is ensured by the police and the militia. Highway code must be followed at all times!

 Racers cannot be escorted during the race.

Drafting is strictly forbidden! Breaking this rule will lead to a blue card and a 5 minutes long Penalty box stay after the lap. The penalty box will be executed in the Race center directly before the chip carpet. Staying in the penalty box is the responsibility of the racer. If he/she doesn't stay in the penalty box, he/she will be disqualified. In case of a second blue card the racer will be disqualified.

Violating the no drafting rule will lead to immediate disqualification!

The course crosses four railways. In case a train passes by and forces the racer to stop, a time correction will be applied.

The quality of the road on route 61 and on the detour road is excellent, on other parts it’s medium. 

For the sake of equal odds there is no technical car. There is a closing car which drives behind the racers. Racers who are forced to give up the tournament due to technical reasons (not health reasons) are being transported to the race center by the race center. If a racer is unable to continue the tournament, then he or she must notify the nearest race judge as soon as possible.

Aid stations:

At 22 km, at 59 km, at 80 km, after that at the following two turning points: in Segesd and in Nagyatád - race center in every circle

Order of refreshments at the aid stations:

• HIGH5 isotonic drink in flask (after drop an empty flask)

• HIGH5 energy bar or gel 

• halved banana

• Water in flask (after drop an empty flask)

Protect the environment!

Please drop flask at designated areas only!

Drop any kind of waste or litter only at the aid stations!

The guidebook of the Hungarian National Triathlon Federation defines littering areas and its rules. 

Personal aiding can be accomplished at 92 km, at 121 km and at 150 km. The personal aiding area is located after the aiding stations at the race center in Nagyatád along the right side of Kápolna Street.

Accompanist supplying the personal aid cannot obstruct other faster racers. 

Faster racers use the left side of the road next to the personal aiding zone. Supplying racers who cycle on the left side of Kápolna Street is strictly forbidden! Violating this rule will lead to the action of the race judges. 

At the end of the cycling the organizers will take the bike from the racer and put it to its place.

After cycling, racers will find their RUN labelled bag at the location where they left it the previous day. Racers must take the bag into the dressing room. After changing, they exit the dressing room and thus begin running. 

Attention! New relay zones!

Relay zone for teams: from bike to bike: in the Zrínyi Street at the designated area called boxstreet. From bike to running: at the designated area in Race Centre at the transition zone.

Time limit: 

For individual racers and relay teams: 9:15 hours (CET 4:45 pm) for starting the last lap, and 10 hours and 30 minutes to start running

Relay teams: those teams who don’t start the last lap at 9:15 hours are not allowed to finish the rest of the cycling. However, these teams and those who haven’t finished cycling by 10 hours and 30 minutes will get a restart opportunity.
At 10 hours and 30 minutes the waiting team members will receive a spare chip and will be launched on the running course. Relaunched and restarted teams are on a different result list!

Running:

The marathon consists of 8 x 5250 m long laps. Elevation difference is insignificant. Runners will pass over the race center at each lap.

Follow the “keep to the right” rule on the running course! Counting the laps is the racer’s own responsibility.

The running takes place on a good quality, closed road (sometimes cast stone).

Accompanying the racer on the course is forbidden!

Protect the environment! 

Please only dispose trash near the aiding stations! The guidebook of the Hungarian National Triathlon Federation defines littering areas and its rules.

Personal aiding is only allowed along the Zrínyi Street, furthermore at the designated areas at Atád market and Hotel Park..

Relay zones:

- After completing the bicycle: at the designated area in Race Centre at the transition zone

- During the running: at the "Futás váltóhely"

Time limits: 

For both individual racers and relay teams: the 4th lap has to be started at 12 hours and 30 minutes (CET 8 pm), the 7th lap needs to be started at 14 hours and 30 minutes (CET 10 pm), the last lap needs to be started at 15 hours and 50 minutes (CET 11:20 pm). The race course closes at midnight.

If the race physician finds the health condition of a racer inadequate to continue the race, then the race judge will take away the race number tag, thus the racer must give up the tournament.

If a racer is unable to continue the tournament, then he or she must notify the nearest race judge as soon as possible.

FINISH:

Individual racers cross the finish line in the right finish gate, relay teams cross the finish line in the left finish gate. We recommend to team members to run through the gate together.

Please comply with the etiquette of the finish line photo. We can only manage to shoot a proper photo, if

• the race number tag is visible and on the front,
• you don’t forcefully overtake the racer in front of you in the finish line at the last moment. (Please give the other racers a few seconds for the proper photo to be taken if it is possible.),
• you leave the finish area after finishing the race relatively quickly.

Individual racers who complete the race successfully will receive the unique medal in the finish area. 

Relay teams who complete the race successfully will receive a unique medal next the Extrememan photowall (on the stage).

You will receive refreshment, massage and if needed, medical attention after completing the race. It is recommended to refresh yourself in the thermal spa in the city’s swimming-baths. 

Doping control is possible.

Athletes garden:

Location: eXtremeMan square

The entry will be placed in your pack, do not forget to take it.  For accompanist tickets can be bought (in limited quantity) at the registration office. 

To-dos after the race:

1. You can receive your BIKE, RUN and AFTER RACE labelled bags (wet equipment) next to the transitions area from 6:00 pm.

The results of the ExtremeMan Nagyatad International Race will be announced.

The new members of the Ten Times Teamwill be announced, Raffle draw.

All racers who completed the race successfully will receive a unique diploma after the race  which will be placed in the your chair due to your arriving time.
