eXtremeMan 2024 - the registration procedure - FAQ

On 20 September, the registration for all our eXtremeMan races are opened. Many of you have already indicated that you will be "there", and we have been fortunate to see that there are quite a few of you who are new to the field, and we see and read that there are many of you who have been asking questions about the entry process on some interface.

Here, then, is the FAQ, based on the issues raised so far.

What is registration?

From 2022 onwards, the entry process for most of our competitions will be in two stages. 

Where this is not the case, it will be indicated separately. 

The first step is registration. By registering, you are applying for the race you want to compete in, i.e. you are sending us a message saying "I WILL BE THERE" !

You can do this - for all our competitions - from 20 September.

The registration fee for the 35th anniversary eXtremeMan Nagyatád will be HUF 35,000 for 35 days, after it will increase in three stages. 

THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR ALL RACES of the eXtremeMan series (including the eXtremeMan 51.5 Gyékényes and eXtremeMan113 Kaposvár) WILL NOT CHANGE ! 

Our discount system is valid for ALL our RACES during the registration for the race, our returning racers get 10 - 20 - 30% discount even from these prices!

What is the starter pack?

The second step, and the finalisation of the entry, is the selection of the starting pack.

We are planning to release the start packages in March 2024, with no changes to the fees until the deadline for entries.

If the "minimum" start package is chosen, the price will not exceed the best registration fee for any of our races. 

For the eXtremeMan Nagyatád race, the "minimum" start package includes all the services that we recommend everyone to use during the race (some of which are mandatory for a proper race): 

The race wristbands which also serve as beach passes, the start number, the chip, the etiquette, the BIKE - RUN - AFTER RACE bags for the changes, the services of the refreshment stations, the medal and the finish packet (for immediate refreshment), the services of the relax team (massage), the services of the Eü. and a photographic diploma at the results ceremony, and everyone will also receive raffle tickets at the time of entry to take part in the draw at the results ceremony.  

The minimum start package can be extended to include any number of meals, transport and individual gifts (e.g. swimming caps, towels, sleeping pillows, canteens). 

These custom orders can only be fully guaranteed for a limited time frame.

What is included in the "standard" starting package in 2024 ?

For the eXtremeMan Nagyatád 2024 race, you can order the "standard start package" in addition to the "minimum package" services the FINISHER'S POST, the ATHLETE'S GARDEN and the ATHLETE'S GARDEN tickets. 

The standard start package can also be extended with ANY number of meals, transport, and individual gifts (e.g. swimming cap, towel, sleeping pillow, canteen). 

Be sure to note that if you choose the standard start package, orders will be able to be fulfilled up to two months before the race, after that only the "minimum" package will be available.  

We will keep you informed about the deadlines for ordering the start package !

What is included in the "premium" starting package for 2024 ?

If you choose the "Premium Start Package" at the eXtremeMan Nagyatád race, you will also get the "Standard Start Package" and the BACKPACK, which you can proudly use later for training or preparing for races.

In addition to the "standard package", the backpack will also contain +1 souvenir item of your choice (e.g. swimming cap, towel, sleeping pillow, canteens)

What should the relay do?

The relay team captain must register, one registration per relay is sufficient and required. 

The registration fee for the 35th anniversary eXtremeMan Nagyatád race is HUF 35,000 for relay teams for 35 days, after it will increase in three further stages. 

THE REGISTRATION FEES FOR ALL RACES of the eXtremeMan series (including the eXtremeMan 51.5 Gyékényes and eXtremeMan113 Kaposvár) WILL NOT CHANGE !  

The team captain does not need to indicate at the moment of registration how many people are in the relay - for now.

This will be recorded when choosing the starting pack.

We hope to have the final teams in place by the time the starting packs are released (March 2024) and we will have information on their wishes. 

The "minimum" start package, which will not be higher than the lowest registration fee for relays, will include the services listed above, which will be essential elements of the race, such as the rider wristbands that also serve as beach passes, race number, chip, etiquettes, BIKE - RUN - AFTER RACE bags for the changes, refreshment station services, finish medals to be handed over after the finish ( in the stage area ), services of the relax team (massage), medical assistance if needed.

In the entry packs, each relay will also receive handwritten raffle tickets, on which all relay members (present at the results announcement) can enter the draw at the results announcement by writing their names.

This basic package will also be extendable for the alternates. 

If relay members wish to have a customized T-shirt, this will also be possible by specifying the number and size of the T-shirt. 

Noodle party and athlete's garden tickets will also be available for purchase, as well as personal and bike transfers.  

There will also be the opportunity to order customized, emblazoned gifts for team members from the team captain (e.g. swim caps, towels, sleeping pillows, canteens). 

It will be possible to extend the minimum start packages, orders will be fulfilled until two months before the race, after that only the "minimum" package will be available.

Can I cancel my registration?

Registration can be cancelled until 31 March 2024 for a handling fee. The handling fee is halved if the competitor opts for a credit instead of a refund. 

Cancellation can be made by clicking on the relevant competition in the "My Entries" section.

Can I cancel the start package I have already ordered?

No.

What happens if I would rather compete in another race at the same venue?

By registering for a competition, you are not fully committed.

You are free to re-register for any other race of the weekend (e.g. you can also start in a relay at the eXtremeMan Nagyatád race with an individual registration, or you don't need to enter the number of relay runners for the relay registration).

And what about package deals ?

We have endeavoured to give all our prospective riders favourable registration fees for our future eXtremeMan competitions (check it!) and we have abolished the package deals.

Why was this change necessary?

Specific situations require specific solutions. It is difficult to predict spring/summer 2024 prices. But the opening of entries cannot wait until then.

So we have split the entry fee into a registration fee and a start package purchase. This will allow for planning while reducing price risk.

In recent years, many participants have indicated that they do not need certain services or souvenirs. For them, we are also creating a positive opportunity by offering a choice of a more limited range of starter packages.

Why is this good for you?

By registering, you press the "start" button in the registration process, which means much more than "maybe". 

Registration is a signal of your intention to enter to us, the organizing site, that you can count on me because "I'll be there!" 

From the moment you submit your registration, you go about your daily life knowing that "You want to be there" because you've already made a commitment to be there in the fall.

We also give you the opportunity to optimise your entry fee by designing your own entry package.

You can pay your entry in two instalments.
